Applications are invited, in plain paper neatly handwritten or typed as per format below to reach the office of the Pradhan of the concerned Gram Panchayat within 5pm, 01/07/2010, from interested and eligible candidates having age upto 35 years as on 01/07/2010, for the post of Gram Rojgar Sevak on temporary basis in contract to be required to serve at Gram Panchayat Office in connection to the NREGA works.

• Residence : Permanent Resident of the Gram Panchayat area under declared vacancy area (In case no candidate of requisite qualification is available from the same Gram Panchayat Area applicants of other Gram Panchayats of same block may be considered, if applied for).
• Period of contract : 6(six) month.
• Contractual pay: Consolidated Rs. 5,000/- p.m.,
• Qualification : Higher Secendary or Equivalent / Vocational in Science stream (with subject both Physics and Mathematics) with atleast 55 % marks and having atleast 6 months computer education from a reputed organization.
• Selection process : The duly filled in and signed applications along with testimonials in support of eligibility, so received at the office of the Pradhan of Gram Panchayat duly forwarded to the Block Development Officer concerned along with all testimonials after verification of the eligibility, on the basis of merit, the Block Officer concerned will recommend the most qualified to the Gram Panchayat Pradhan concerned for engagement as Gram Rojgar Sevak. Applications not signed or not properly filled-in or without enclosures will be summarily rejected on scrutiny and no communication in this regard will be carried out with the applicant.

     Persons who will be selected, in the posts above will be required to make extensive field level tour even at tough weather and odd hours to any part of the Gram Panchayat upto village level in addition to his deskwork at the place of posting, to take and impart training / IEC activity upto the Panchayat member / village level whenever required, to have the ability to work in cooperation with common citizen, staff and people’s representative of Panchayati Raj Institutions, Self-Help-Groups, NGOs and district level units of all other departments.

     The parameters stated hereinabove are subject to change time to time as per direction of the Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Government of West Bengal.

     The incumbent on selection will be required to undergo an agreement on Non-judicial stamp paper of requisite denomination for the contract tenure. The tenure is renewable on expiry subject to the performance of incumbent and willingness of both the parties; however, both the parties have the right to terminate the agreement premature giving one-month prior notice to the other party.
