On behalf of the Agriculture Department of the Government of West Bengal, the State Government has extended deadline till 31/10/2024 for providing Technology based Bangla Shasya Bima (BSB) Scheme completely free of cost to protect the crops of the Paddy farmers for the Kharif season 2024 of West Bengal. Awareness camps have been arranged at the Gram Panchayat level for the benefit of farmers.

Public Notice Dated: 01/09/2024 – It is hereby informed that Survey of Insanitary Latrines & Manual Scavengers will be conducted in every village and town of Cooch Behar district from 02/09/2024 to 10/09/2024. The use of insanitary latrines or leaving faeces & urine in open drains is prohibited and is punishable by law. Persons engaged in cleaning such toilets should immediately approach the nearest Gram Panchayat/Municipality or Self Declaration Camps (along with the Self Declaration Form mentioned in the attached Annexure-A) to get the benefit of the Government Rehabilitation Scheme. It is appealed to the public that if you have any information in this regard, please immediately report it to the local Panchayat/Municipality.
